Counseling

Through the passion for helping to educate, and assist others in succeeding and reaching their goals, LeBlanc Counseling Group Encourages: support, education, leadership, community involvement, individual development and family systems development. By outsourcing counseling services, approaches and techniques, such as solution focus, and reality focus, we unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding one back from fulfilling their parenting role and leading a meaningful life.
We assist people around the world, by phone or in person. We have locations in Vallejo, Richmond, Berkley and San Diego California. We also have locations in Las Vegas, NV. We have international Offices in Belize City, Belize and Hopkins, Belize.
Before asking yourself if you need a counselor, please ask yourself these questions:
  • If circumstances or events caused you to gash your leg or arm open, should you seek medical attention?
  • If you have a toothache should you see your best friend, a neighbor or a professional dentist?

If you answered YES to the two questions above, then you must also know that you can not go to your neighbor or best friend and expect for them to help you with deep rooted issues! Instead, it is important to seek help from an Educated and Trained Professional Counselor, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Marriage and Family Therapist just like you would from a Dentist, or a Medical Doctor.

APPROACHES:
Integrative psychotherapy is an important element in our approach to healing and transformation. I combine elements from different schools of psychotherapy and holistic heath in order to facilitate healing and wholeness.

DIALOGUE:
Dialogue is a useful way to express and uncover deep feelings and emotions. Various methods that are most suited to you will be used. Voice Dialogue is a powerful way to recognize the different parts of yourself that are often unconsciously operating your life. Some of these selves can be your inner critic, protector/controller, perfectionist, the good mother/daughter, etc. Voice dialogue helps you to uncover meaningful, sometimes neglected parts of yourself such as your playful self or your inner child. You will also explore your innermost thoughts and feelings through mindfulness, story-telling, and narrative therapy.

ART THERAPY/GUIDED IMAGERY:
Art therapy is a tool that allows you to explore and deepen aspects of yourself by providing you with a visual map. Many believe that you need to have artistic skills in order to participate in art therapy. This is absolutely not true! You will use art to explore your feelings, family dynamics, and interpersonal relationships. You will also use art for emotional healing.

GUIDED IMAGERY AND VISUALIZATION:
help you to relax and replace a negative self-image with a positive self-image. The way it works is that your brain and nervous system cannot tell the difference between real and imaginary experiences if your imaginary experience is vivid enough with a lot of detail. Visualization will work whether you believe in it or not. Guided imagery /visualization is also an effective method for children and adults who have trouble focusing.

DREAM THERAPY:
Dreams often contain inner conflicts and unexpressed feelings. By exploring your dreams, you can gain insight into emotions that need to be faced and expressed. These emotions can be expressed within the safety of the therapeutic environment. Accessing your dreams can be aided by keeping a dream journal and exploring those dreams with the therapist. Dreams help make the unconscious conscious.

JOURNALING:
Journaling includes writing and or drawing your ideal self, scene, and goals. These goals can be career goals, relational, or aspects of yourself that you want to improve. Studies have shown that when goals are written down and explored, you have a much higher chance in achieving those goals. Your journal will also be used to gauge growth and change.

HYPNOTHERAPY:
Hypnosis helps you get in a state of deep trance and relaxation. This helps you get in touch with unconscious aspects of yourself. This is a state similar to when you are falling asleep or when you are beginning to wake up from sleep. You are always in control. Within the safety of the therapeutic environment, you can uncover emotional blocks, phobias, and addictions that are preventing you from living a healthy and fulfilling life. Nero Linguistic Programming (NLP) during hypnosis can help you change thought patterns and help with addictions such as smoking, food, etc.. Hypnotherapy can last from one and half to two hours. Included is a healing tape that is personalized to you. It is best to play this tape before you go to sleep at night or at times when you are alone in a quiet space. I view hypnotherapy as a massage for your soul.

NATURE HEALING:
Healing through Nature can aid you in exploring and balancing all aspects of yourself including the Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, and Intellectual parts. You will explore your interconnectedness with all living things. This allows you to have a more expanded view of yourself and see yourself as the multidimensional being that you truly are!

GROUPS:
We offer group sessions, however, if it is determined that long term mental health treatment is needed we may ask that a client seek long term treatment and show proof of treatment before joining our support groups.
