Engage, Participate, Activate
We know that stress and anxiety often go together and in order to provide adequate services we must bring our best selves to work. This is why LeBlanc Consulting offers several team building opportunities where we encourage our staff members to Engage, Participate and Activate throughout the year. These events and activities allow our employees revitalize their compassion for community service and expand their creative growth. This is also a way for staff members to learn a new skill, enhance memory, learn the importance of self care, stimulate an optimistic attitude and cultivate emotional growth. Our day retreats, park outings and in office competitions are a way for us to enhance problem-solving, connect outside of our normal work and to get to know one another on personal level.
Events include but are not limited to:
Golf A group of LeBlanc Consulting Employee's get together on Mondays & Fridays to play golf. Crab Feed Crew A group of LeBlanc Consulting Employees get together to attend a variety of Crab Feed Fundraisers around the San Francisco Bay Area. This event has been a success for the last 3 years! Volunteer in Belize In some places where running water is scarce, those living with Developmentally Disabilities are the last to receive adequate services and support. Thats where we come in, and spark the inner core of compassion by taking groups of volunteers to developing countries to provide training to individuals and institutions serving our population globally. To create a well-rounded experience, Volunteers work in the mornings and are off in the afternoons. This trip is overseen by The United States Embassy Belize, Belize Tourism Board, Belize Biltmore Hotel and Several Community Organizations in Belize from April-September. Karaoke Night What better way to get our employees to break out of their shells than to have them get up and sing some karaoke? We have a contest for best group karaoke performance. Bonus points if there are feather boas and cowboy hats involved. This is for our more extroverted group, so if our team members are not into strutting their stuff on stage, they cheer them on or judge the contest. Annual Trip to Lake Tahoe Regain a sense of self in the crisp outdoors of Lake Tahoe. This annual staff retreat is our opportunity to plan for our upcoming year. We use this time to brainstorm on the events we would like to offer clients to and discuss area's of improvement from the previous year. This is our opportunity to reflect on the past year and move forward into a positive future. As this is our "Restart, Refresh, Rejuvenate Retreat". After this retreat most staff are ready to hit the ground running with new ideas. Boating for the Day LeBlanc Consulting Staff Members meet at the San Pablo Dam Reservoir for an exciting team building day out on the water. During the time a game of concentration, two truths and a lie and sudden story are played. Staff members are walked through a mindfulness meditation and lead back to a place of peace and reflection on how self care leads to excellent client care. Workout Day For 45 minutes a day, LeBlanc Consulting Staff members get together for Pilates/Yoga via Zoom, a Hike or a simple stroll around the offices. The idea is to increase muscle strength, particularly tone abdominal muscles to assist with our lower back and shoulder. This is our preventative measures to "Computer Neck or Computer Back". We have discovered that though taking care of our own health we are creating longevity so that we can be healthier for our clients. |

On-going Office Events & Games
Office Board Game Tournament
We spark our team members' competitive sides without having to leave the office. LeBlanc Consulting organizes a team-wide board game tournament. We pick a single game, then have people sign up for specific time slots when they're free to leave their desks and spend some time playing the game. Some great games with reasonable play times include Boggle, Jenga, or even games using good ol' playing cards.
Sip & Paint
No, we are not sipping wine, however, we are sipping on tea and coffee while painting in a therapeutic 45 minutes of creative encouragement. This provides us with an opportunity to tune out of our busy minds and focus on one task at a time. This generally sparks our staff members creativity and supports their emotional well being all while building their problem solving skills.
Sneak a Peek
In a test of memory to a game of Pictionary, we play Sneak a Peek. In this game, people break off into groups of at least four and take turns recreating objects from memory. Using LEGOs, clay, building blocks, or a similar set of construction items, one game leader will craft an object or structure for every group to recreate. A member of each group then has 10 seconds to "sneak a peek" at the structure (which is concealed from view), return to their groups, and describe what they saw to their group members so they can recreate it. Each group has their own LEGOs, clay, or building blocks. If after a minute of recreating the structure, it isn't complete, another member of each group sneaks a 10-second peek at the game leader's object and comes back to further instruct the group. This rotation continues until a group is confident they have recreated the item. The object of the game? Be the first group to recreate it. Not only does this game help employees practice project management, but it shows how to accomplish tasks using input from a variety of sources. It's also just a fun way to see how good our coworkers are at retaining information.
Office Trivia
Who says trivia night only takes places at the bar? Office trivia is the perfect way to bring a large group of colleagues together and challenge the brain in areas that don't necessarily apply to their daily jobs. Break the company into teams of four or more and offer small prizes for the teams who score the most points.Want to write your own trivia questions? For reference, trivia questions are generally sorted into categories -- four or five trivia questions per category -- with optional bonus questions at the end of the game. While you can give each question a point value, you can also assign each team a certain amount of points per category that they can bet, instead. Each team can then bet as many or as few points as they want per question until they've used all their points for that category. Not prepared to create your own trivia questions? Hire a trivia organization to host a trivia night at your office. There are tons of national trivia companies who'd be happy to host an event right on site -- District Trivia, The Trivia Factory, and the Big Quiz Thing are just a few of them.
Improv Workshop
Lights Camera Action! LeBlanc Consulting Puts on a Theatrical of events during a team gathering to see how everyone will react. The first team is not announced, instead they act out a scene immediately upon entering the room. The rest of the team is not aware that they are are acting or are they? The idea is to see how staff members will respond to certain situations and to observe if staff members are able to think on their feet.
