In other words, information assurance includes protection of the integrity, availability, authenticity, non-repudiation and confidentiality of user data. While focused dominantly on information in digital form, the full range of IA encompasses not only digital but also analog or in the physical form. These protections apply to data in transit, both physical and electronic forms as well as data at rest in various types of physical and electronic storage facilities. Information assurance as a field has grown from the practice of information security. Further, to assure we are handling your documents correctly in 2011 we have partnered with Google and formerly Weebly now known as Square to maintain a secure database and we provide in house training to our staff regarding HIPPA and the rules of Confidentiality including definitions such as Social Engineering. ​

What is Social Engineering?
Social Engineering is the use of deception to manipulate individuals into divulging confidential or personal information that may be used for fraudulent purposes. What is Cyberwarfare? 
This refers to politically motivated hacking to conduct sabotage and espionage. It is a form of information warfare sometimes seen as analogous to conventional warfare although this analogy is controversial for both its accuracy and its political motivation.

According to the U.S. government security expert Richard A. Clarke, in his book Cyber War (May 2010), he defines “cyberwarfare” as “actions by a nation-state to penetrate another nation’s computers or networks for the purposes of causing damage or disruption.” This type of warfare is real and happens to small companies like ours as we recently experienced. The Economist describes cyberspace as “the fifth domain of warfare,” and William J. Lynn, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense, states that “as a doctrinal matter, the Pentagon has formally recognized cyberspace as a new domain in warfare . . . which has become just as critical to military operations as land, sea, air, and space.” LeBlanc Consulting finds the best experienced candidates who will work hard to protect our sensitive information.
