Gabi came to LeBlanc Consulting, heartbroken and did not trust us due to her previous experiences. Gabi refused to let us into her house the first time and forced us to sit on the porch to speak with her. She refused to even let us take her anywhere and instead missed all important appointments for her daughter. After getting to know her Parenting Skills Consultant Gabi began to open up a little more after each meeting. Now, Gabi is on track! Gabi is now receiving wic and has a monthly schedule where she grocery shops, does her laundry and cleans her home. Parenting became much easier for her because not only did she get help from Julie she requested financial help from Kwesi, who has her on track to investing and saving. Gabi is not only paying her bills on time, she has started a savings account for herself and her daughter. Although she only able to save $40 per month it's much more than she was saving.

Eljay is a single father with seven children. He is a wonderful dad to all of his children, yet had allot of difficulties with the mothers. Eljay was referred to LeBlanc Consulting after experiencing domestic violence with one of the mothers of his children that left him facing charges. The mother was verbally abusive and physically abusive to Eljay. As a result as he made an attempt to escape from the house; the mother os his children hit him over the head causing a bloody gash. He pushed her to the ground and ran for his life! He was able to escape with just the clothes on his back. However after flagging down the police car Eljay was also arrested because he pushed her to the ground. Eljay was able to get out of the bad relationship and get his own apartment. Eljay placed a restraining order on the mother of his children and fought diligently with his Parenting Consultant to gain joint custody or visitation of his children. Instead of gaining joint custody the Judge awarded him full custody of four of his children! Eljay has come a long way and has been able to maintained his job through out his entire dilemma. We are so proud of how hard Eljay works to maintain his family system and keep all of his children together.

Paul came to LeBlanc Consulting as a referral from one of his friends who a case manager at the regional center. His friend suggested he utilize our services as a paid customer, after losing his wife in a car accident. When Paul first contacted our agency he was devastated that not only was his wife gone but he had no idea what to do with a small child. His daughter, Emma was just an infant and Paul was at an absolute loss as to how to care for her. With his Parenting Consultant, Paul learned how to balance his work and family life. His openness and willing to learn was a key component in his success. Paul was able to put a balanced schedule for his daughter, which helped him to thrive as a single parent and achieve all of his parenting goals. Through dedication and hard work Paul has seen the amazing benefits of his time with LeBlanc Consulting. Emma is now 4 years old, she is healthy, thriving and ready to start Kindergarten soon.

Luchie, is the son of our former Client Tanya. Tanya came to LeBlanc Consulting when she was just 17 years old and still in high school. When she first arrived in our program she was, hurt, angry and felt that no one understood her. She was in a previous program that according to her made her "sit and color like I was a child and didn't have respect for individuality or the fact that I was almost grown and wanted to get my life together. Instead they drove me around with all of the other clients in a group and refused to acknowledge the things that I needed to thrive as an individual".
Here at LeBlanc Consulting, she was assigned to Mr. Williams (40 hours ILS a month) and Ms. Selena (20 hours parenting a month). She kept every appointment they made with her and would even drop by the office to hang out with staff. It was clear that she wanted all the wisdom and knowledge they had to teach her. Tanya, knew that she didn't want to depend on others the rest of her life. According to Mr. Williams, "she was a good listener did her best to follow through with our recommendations. Tanya has a great follow through with a service provider she trust. She is an excellent mom to her son" Tanya learned to make and keep doctor appointments for him, she learned how to enroll him in school and follow through with getting the documents filled out for him. She learned to care for his every need and advocate for him. She learned to never give up on her children and to do her best to assure that their well being is put first. Both Tanya and her son are now thriving and are completely independent without any outside agency in the home to assist her.

She was the teacher that I learned a lot from and the women I wanna be because she more then a person. She kind, understanding, beautiful personality, soul, smart and big hearted. She help me with so much in my life and if I could pay her back in everything she help me in I will. I will always recommend her in everything because she the type of women that never gives up and if you need someone she will be there to help you, talk about anything and help you if you don’t understand. Know she will explain things to you and she a hard worker. When I mean harder worker, she never stops fighting and she don’t sleep on nothing. My experiences with Le Blanc Consulting are positive:
I have to admit when I first started working with Le Blanc Consulting I was very nervous because so many people say that they are going to help but they don't do anything! As soon as I started working with my consultant I could tell that it was going to be different. She knows stuff and it has helped me to have better communication with my partner and my sons. I never thought of myself as being a teacher, now I have learned to teach my sons to at home. Le Blanc Consulting has taught me that our home is like a training facility to teach the children what they will need to know as adults. In less than a month Le Blanc Consulting has helped me to get back in school, get financial aid, and have a better family relationship! I realize I can do this now. I am glad my case manager referred me to this company because I want to get better my life and I now know Le Blanc Consulting will help me do it.

How do I know that I am learning?
When I found out that I couldn't work with My Consultant because she started her own company, I was worried so I told my case manager to change me to her company so I can keep working with her because I like how she does things. Someone told me that I was too attached, I still say I am not attached I just like how she works with me because she respects me and my family. How do I know that I am learning with this company? Put it this way, I had 3 other people working with me in one year before Le Blanc Consulting came along. Can you believe I have had 3 other parenting instructors and none of them worked out? I have had people before just violate my boundaries and do not care that they are stressing me out. I have health issues and some of the people I have worked with before would push me until I got sick. Not my consultant, I liked working with her because she is patient with me and because she treats me, my baby mom, and my son like we matter with respect. I just feel comfortable with this company, because she knows me and I can tell her things other people wouldn't understand for example My Consultant knows the reason why I do not like people coming all up in my house all the time. I just didn't grow up like that, it's disrespectful for someone to come over unannounced, like this one lady used to do. My Consultant makes the appointments and she comes when I know it. I do not feel pressure when I am working with my consultant and she understand me and how I do things.

What are my feelings about Le Blanc Consulting?
I have been working with my consultant since my son was 3 years old. My son is now 8 years old and it seems like me and him have been growing together with my consultant, I like that. My son sometimes help me to prepare the food for dinner now. I didn't know that he is old enough to help now until my consultant told me. My son now also does chores too and I can persuade him to do them without yelling too! That's funny huh? I remember when I used to yell all the time, I was always stressed and he still wouldn't listen to me. My consultant has taught me communication skills and how to cope with my anger better. I know now he's just being a child, and he is learning new stuff just like me. Now, because I learned how to talk to him he talks to me and he listens to me! Most kids do not like listening or talking to their parents me and my son listen to each other. I remember when my son was having behavioral issues at school and at home. I was so stressed out because I didn't know what to say to the teacher at school and the principle. My consultant came up to my sons school with me! I was like wow, she cares about us she came to talk to his teachers and the principle with me. My Consultant has help me to get the attention I needed for my son and my son is now in an advanced 3/4 class! Can you believe that? My son was too smart for third grade alone!

What do I think about Le Blanc Consulting outings and real life experience?
I am not so sure we would have had all of the life experiences we have had if I was working with someone else. Sometimes it didn't feel like I was working hard trying to change my life because I was having fun doing it. My consultant's company would take money out of there own pockets to make sure my son had good experiences and outings. The outings help me to deal with stress and teach my son new things, and I am not even getting services from her. She wanted to make sure we stayed together as a family because that's how we like it. She teaches us that family is important and that we have to take care of our child together no matter what other people say. I like going on the outings with my man and my kids. We have gone to Chabot Space and Science Center, Bowling, Exporitorium, Swimming, Jelly Belly Factory, Bargain Grocery Shopping, the Beach, San Francisco's China Town, Chuck E. Cheeses, Mc Donald's, Fancy Restaurants and many other places. My son will go to college and get a good job because he has been working with my consultant, I just know it. She invests the time and talks real to him so he understands her and us now. This year my son even got a chance to see the President of the United States with my consultant until someone told me I couldn't work with my consultant anymore because she started her own company. My son missed out on a good opportunity all because of some case manager didn't know how hard my consultant, me, my man and my family have been working to give my son a good and promising life.
