Governance
Management Advisory Committee and Board of Directors 

LeBlanc Consulting is governed ultimately by its eleven-member Board of Directors.  Responsibility for its regular operation, however, belongs to the Executive Director and the four department chiefs.  These Seven individuals, along with the assistant to the Executive Director, comprise the agency's Management Advisory Committee, or MAC. The membership of both bodies (MAC and the Board), as well as other important information, can be found below.

The composition of LeBlanc Consulting Management Advisory and Board of Directors complies with its adopted bylaws stipulated in Section 4622 of the Lanterman Act. LeBlanc Consulting Board of Directors meets every 3 months. Meetings are are normally held at a location to be determined, or Via Conference Call. Please call in advance to confirm date, time, and location of Board Meetings. Board Member Pledge

As a Board Member I pledge . . .
To treat each member as an equal, respecting their opinions, personality, culture, diversity and experience. I will listen to all comments, questions and opinions with an open mind. I will maintain a high level of confidentiality and will concentrate on the issues at hand. I will place service above self, focusing on my charge as a Board Member to implement the vision and mission of LeBlanc Consulting to provide quality supports and services to our consumers. As a Board, we agree to speak with one voice, instilling honesty, integrity, openness, commitment and dedication to duty in each member. We will come to the Board with a positive attitude and create a safe haven for open discussion. As a Board, we will continue to strive for excellence, mentoring each other and becoming an active partner in the community, state, nation and globe.

Board Member Vision

We are and provide a community where individuals and families with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities are highly valued members who are treated with dignity, value and respect. LeBlanc Consulting creates partnerships to assist and support all of our clients with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, children at risk, and their families in choosing services and supports through individual lifelong planning as a means to achieve healthy and productive lives in their own communities.

Volunteer Board Members needed.
If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors for LeBlanc Consulting, we need you. Requirements are time, energy, and a strong interest in the well-being of people with developmental disabilities. Most of us have of had relatives living with Disabilities. Please call (800) 707-1852 about your interest. Please give your name, phone number, best time to reach you, and your reason for being interested in serving on the board. A member of our Board Development Committee will get back to you as soon as possible. If you have an interest in participation as an LeBlanc Consulting Board member or appointed committee member, but believe you live too far away to attend meetings in Sacramento on a regular basis, please call the Board Hotline at (800) 707-1852 and let us know.  We want to hear from you!
Applying for Board Membership:, an applicant may be any of the following:
  • An individual receiving from the Regional Center, LeBlanc Consulting, The or school services
  • A parent or family member of an individual receiving services
  • A member of the general public who works or Contra Costa or Alameda county
To serve on the Board, a person must be willing to:
  • Attend regular meetings
  • Be an active member of at least one Board committee
  • Attend an annual retreat
