LeBlanc Consulting is a company that caters to the energetic and
whimsical crowd of Developmentally Delayed Populations. We teach all of our classes on-site at various Facilities or Virtually. Our Client range in age from birth through 100 years old. LeBlanc Consulting cultivates a positive environment for Developmentally Delayed Populations to be imaginative, curious, and expressive.
LeBlanc Consulting is looking for a creative, engaging, and supportive part-time dance instructor. We offer flexible hours and locations. The ideal candidate will have a background in both dance and Child and Adult Care. He/She will be a fun, creative, warm, energetic, and encouraging dance instructor. LeBlanc Consulting instructors are expected to always be prepared and early to class. Being organized, punctual, and respectful is a must. LeBlanc Consulting provides our instructors the curriculum, props, and essential tools for facilitating successful movement classes for young dancers.
SUMMARY
Instructs weekly creative movement, Hip Hop classes to client. Utilizes creativity, but also allowed creative liberties, to prepare and implement activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of within movement. Maintains order and positive energy in the setting. Communicates appropriately with directors, instructors, coordinators, clients and client' parents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A LeBlanc Consulting dance instructor is responsible for planning and instructing movement classes . He/She is expected to arrive fully prepared and early to his/her assigned center. Additionally, a LeBlanc Consulting instructor is responsible for:
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Preschool dance instructors are faced with a variety of issues throughout class. Instructors must respond quickly and appropriately to the frequently changing needs of Clients.
Additional skills that are desirable:
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ·
4+ years of dance training (preferably with Hip Hop experience) ·
1+ year of experience in Adult Care (preferably with Developmentally Delayed Populations ages two to six)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed at various Centers in and around Seattle; there is no one
physical LeBlanc Consulting location. This job requires a high level of activity.

SUPERVISOR
LeBlanc Consulting movement instructors report to the Activities Coordinator Supervisor before instructing a LeBlanc Consulting session on their own, and becoming a lead instructor, all instructors work with their supervisor in training.
COMPENSATION
LeBlanc Consulting dance instructors are compensated based on relevant experience and satisfying the job requirements. Lead instructors are paid on an hourly class basis, plus location consideration.
Average compensation per hour class: $15.00 - $30.00

- providing a safe environment – physically and emotionally
- exuding happiness, energy, and enthusiasm throughout each class
- delivering quality instruction
- offering challenging activities that will raise dancers to the next level
- providing feedback on curriculum
- knowing and using Clients names
- making everyone, regardless of ability level, feel included
- taking photos of Clients in action to be used in the monthly newsletters
- establishing clear expectations
- providing appropriate discipline
- preparing the dance space; setting up and taking down class equipment
- reporting equipment/prop problems
- communicating concerns and successes to supervisor
- hosting a parent invite class in the Fall semester
- hosting a recital showcase in the Spring semester
- accurately maintaining necessary records
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed at various Centers in and around Seattle; there is no one
physical LeBlanc Consulting location. This job requires a high level of activity.
Applicants must be able to:
- Stand for 95% of the class time
- Assume postures in low level positions that best allow physical and visual contact with Developmentally Delayed Populations
- Sustain a high level of energy
- Perform all activities with children and adults, i.e. jump, dance, walk, crawl, run, etc.
