Our interns not only gain knowledge and expand their experience in the field to grow professionally, many of them experience exciting personal growth as well. We strive to foster and develop creativity and excellence with our social workers. These internships often lay the foundation for future employment, as members of our directors team as well as our Chief Operating Officer have all participated in our internship program. Interns will receive 1:1 supervision on a weekly basis. In addition, there will be opportunity for additional group supervision with other licensed staff and other interns. Our supervision model incorporates standing items (i.e. individuals in services caseload, internship hours/scheduling, two-way feedback, etc.), and use of agenda. In addition, supervisors are available outside of regularly scheduled supervision by phone and/or email. Learn more about each of our four opportunities below and reach out to us today to get started!

LeBlanc Therapy Services
Counselors are a valuable resource and an integral part of Le Blanc Consulting staff. The ever-evolving Counseling Program supports, challenges, support and enriches the lives of the students, their families and the staff. Our internship at LeBlanc Consulting focuses on substance abuse and mental health. A major part includes the clinical counseling pieces where co-facilitation is set up with DUI education, DUI Therapy, and Relapse Prevention groups. We work with our interns to review processes for intakes and develop clinical counseling skills. Our program also gives insight into what goes on behind-the-scenes including: policies, procedures, tracking, and Medicaid systems. This well-balanced internship is ideal for individuals looking to work side by side with our clinical team to develop counseling skills.

LeBlanc Consulting
LeBlanc Consulting offers an internship focused on working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since we offer a wide range of services and supports, each internship is structured based on the individual applicant's interests. Some interns work within behavior services, where behavioral assessments, counseling, and training are the focus. Others who enjoy the residential side of things, learn the administrative pieces to ensure health and safety, get a taste of the balance of policies and procedures, and see first hand how behavioral intervention and family systems work.
|
Supportive Living
LeBlanc Consulting offers an internship focused on assisted living and end-of-life care. The scope of this internship includes: providing grief counseling, providing and attending training sessions, learning about policies and procedures, and working directly with residents. Our interns work closely with our clinical team to find adaptive treatment plans for each resident. Some residents might benefit from grief counseling, others might benefit from getting connected with resources and supports, etc. and each situation is both unique and dynamic. This internship offers a wide variety of experiences to develop clinical skills and offers a perspective gained only by working within a home.
|
Foster Care
Our internship in Foster Care focuses on developing and creating large level plans and the ins and outs of recruitment. It offers engagement with families in home studies and provides the opportunity to work with clinical teams. Our foster care program focuses not only on the current families, but also connecting potential foster care families with resources, supports, and information. Alongside developing knowledge of the foster care systems, this internship also allows for extensive field training and promotes independent thinking, relationship development, and clinical judgment skills.
